Faith Formation
"Catholic Faith Formation is a lifelong journey beginning in the family and continuing through Parish life. Our Mission at St. Katharine Drexel is to help our children and young adults to develop their faith. They will be experiencing God's presence in the Liturgy, the teaching of our faith, through our community and by serving the needs of others."
Our CCD Program includes the following:

Kindergarten     Sundays 10:30 am to 11:30 am

First Grade to Eighth Grade Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays 5:00 pm to 6:00
Wednesdays 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Thursdays 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Confirmation High School Program   One Parent/Student Meeting and several required                                                                      Retreat Days throughout the year.
The fees for CCD are:
$40 for the first child
$30 for the second and third child
Maximum of $100 per family

Confirmation 1 & 2 (ninth and tenth grade) is $40 each year and is considered the First Child for fee purposes.

Please don't let financial difficulty keep you from registering your child.

No previous experience is
necessary.
Our faith formation program begins with Kindergarten and culminates with Confirmation in tenth grade. We also offer the Rite of Christian Initiation for adults who wish to be indoctrinated in the Church as well as Adult Bible Study and our Middle and High School Youth Groups.

Need a place to wait while your child is in class?

Check out our Parish Library in the East wing of the Faith Formation Building. You may read a spiritual book while you wait.
Or, Spend an hour with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel just to the right of the church building. Our tabernacle resides there.
Parents may also wait in the large room in the West Wing of the Faith Formation Building.

We also have an Adoration Chapel in the back of the church. You can make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament during your child's class time. For more information on Adoration, please see our Adoration Ministry webpage.

C.L.O.W. - Children's Liturgy of the Word
The Children’s Liturgy of the Word is to help school age children understand the Gospel message during Mass. They work with age appropriate material and are guided by a catechist.
C.L.O.W. Schedule:
8:30 am Mass: Liturgy of the Word - Grades 1 - 2 only (sacristy)
10:30 am Mass: Liturgy of the Word - Grades 1 - 2 only (sacristy) and Grades 3 - 5 only (choir room)

RCIAMonday evenings 7:30 pm

Adult Bible StudyTuesday evenings 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
  Wednesday morning 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
  Thursday evenings 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
There is no charge for Bible Study, although you may wish to purchase a study book while you are taking the class.
